ACCESSORIES FOR ALUMINUM POLES

1/2" Hub (Female Pipe Thread (option "A") 3/4" Hub (Female Pipe Thread (option "B") Unless otherwise specified, standard location is 3' above base and 90° from handhole (clockwise when facing single arm/drilling)

Vibration Damper (Option "V")

Occasionally, because of a phenomenon caused by local peculiarities of the site and/or prevailing winds, poles may be susceptible to wind induced harmonic vibrations in the 10 to 20 MPH wind range. Vibration dampers which alleviate this condition are available.

Standard Convenience Outlet (Option "C") Unless otherwise specified, standard location is 4' above base on same side as handhole. (For GFI convenience outlet, specify option "E")

 Handhole

Flush type handholes are furnished on all poles with standard bases. Poles with alternate bases will have a handhole only where there is no access in the base.

All poles are furnished with a 5/16"-18NC-2 standard tapped hole inside the pole or base for grounding purposes. If a ground lug is required order as option G. Assembly is then provided with Dossert copper ground lug or equivalent.

Optional Transformer Base

All poles, except for the 4" and 5" round poles, are provided with an internal reinforcing frame. This results in an aesthetically pleasing "flush" handhole

Vibration Pads (Option "F")   Where poles are installed on bridges, motion of the bridge structure itself can transmit vibration into the light pole, with adverse effects on arms and luminaires. To minimize this problem, vibration pads and washers are available, along with installation instructions.

For most bridge applications, a combination of vibration damper and pad is a wise investment. For further information about vibration dampers and pads, contact your local P&K Pole Products representative or the factory
