History

P&K first began operations under the name Pfaff & Kendall in 1902 at the former location in Newark, New Jersey. At the end of World War II, the aluminum pole industry was born and P&K's first large project was the manufacture of the lighting poles for the New Jersey Turnpike. Since that time, the business has grown throughout the United States, with exports to Canada, the Caribbean, the Pacific/Asia areas and the Middle East. In 2003 a new direction began when Flagpoles Incorporated purchased all of the assets of the Former P&K Pole Products and formed a new corporation P&K Tubular Products

In the near future our Sales and Engineering office will be opening in New Jersey featuring members of the original P&K staff.

P&K's manufacturing facilities have been transferred to Flagpoles Incorporated modern State of the Art facility. All production processes have been consolidated into our 100,000 square foot facility on 7.5 acres. All of the former P&K production equipment is being completely rebuilt and upgraded using the latest technology. We now have 8 tapering machines, utilizing CNC programmable technology for the two larger ones, with capability to spin taper up to 16" diameter tubing up to 50 ft. long. We also have extensive bending, stamping, cutting, forming, cleaning, welding, finishing and heat treating capabilities. P&K has developed a unique process for welding base castings to pole shafts that results in a higher strength and more durable assembly. The powder coating we utilize provides a more durable color finish.
